IEEE ICRA 2011, Shanghai, China
The mixed palletizing competition was held in Shanghai, China at the ICRA 2011 conference. Teams were given order files in increasing difficulty levels and their packlists were compared with a commercial software with respect several metrics.
This year the PalletViewer software was used to compare solutions and metric values were weighted and scored. The higher the score, the more stable pallet was designed. The pallets were also built on a real mixed palletizing cell in the GT labs*.
